MOON JELLYFISH

Before my holiday to Waymouth i had no interest in jellyfish but while on the beach there i had realized

a small, clear jellyfish and after researching it and making jellyfish my favorite creature i found out that it was a moon jellyfish.

this species of jellyfish can not harm humans due to their small stingers that are not powerful enough to penetrate human skin but can still catch their food with them

These jellyfish are also bio luminescent.

TYPES OF JELLYFISH

Here are a few well known types of jelly fish...

 this is called a compass jellyfish, its form and pattern is quite well known and is used in many films (for example, Shark tale)
it is also known as chysaora hysoscella and is usually found relatively close to shore in the British waters. its bell diameter measures 30cm.

JELLYFISH INTRO :)

jellyfish are crazy and in-explainable creatures. They have no heart no eyes, they kill their food by using their tentacles which are also used as a defence mechanism and that is why humans are wary around them. when a jelly fish tentacle touches prey or even humans it releases microscopic needles which pierces deep into the skin. Depending on the species of jellyfish the sting will always paralyse prey and either cause no harm, irritate or lead to death of humans!
